Facilities at the Benn Hall are regularly used for a host of different activities, from business meetings and training sessions to trade fairs, family parties to full scale banquets.

THE MAIN HALL
Our largest function room, measuring 15 X 25m has a timber dance floor with carpet perimeter, wooden stage, adjoining bar facility and access to our fully equipped kitchens.

THE ROKEBY ROOM
Measures 17.5 X 7.5m, with timber dance floor, private bar facility and access to fully equipped kitchens.

LOUNGE BAR
Suitable for small meetings/training sessions of up to 20 people.

STAGE
Sprung wooden floor suitable for dance, theatre, bands etc. House tabs operational from backstage, frontstage and rear of Main Hall. Performing area 9.14 X 6.1m with star cloth back drop. Facilities for backstage and understage crossovers. Stepped access to two dressing rooms on lower ground floor.

LIGHT & SOUND
All lighting bars are fixed therefore they cannot be lowered. Hirers are not permitted to add any lighting equipment to the Benn Hall dimmer packs or lighting bars.

The stage lighting is controlled with a 24-channel DMX digital lighting desk, which can be used either on stage or at the rear of the Main Hall. Gel colours vary. The main colours are RED, BLUE, GREEN, AMBER & OPEN WHITE. If any other colours are required or a specific set-up is needed please give plenty of notice.
Twelve channel mixing desk, operational from backstage, frontstage and rear of Main Hall. Acoustics suitable for music and spoken word. Please see “Equipment Hire & Room Layout” for details of sound equipment available.


Catering Options

The Benn Hall prides itself on its flexible approach to catering for each function, allowing you to choose an option that suits your requirements budget.

Please note that no drink or intoxicating liquor (beer, wines, spirits etc) may be brought onto the premises by the hirer or any other person.

OPTION ONE - IN HOUSE CATERING
Our In House team can offer tea/coffee and biscuits, orange juice and mineral water for meetings and conferences. If you require a buffet lunch or are planning a dinner, please choose from Option Two or Three below.

OPTION TWO - SELF CATERING
Allows you the use of our commercial kitchens* for your own catering arrangements. Please note that tea, coffee and squash are the only beverages the hirer is permitted to provide when self catering.
*Permanent fixtures only (eg: ovens, dishwasher, gas hobs, urns). Does not include utensils such as crockery, cutlery, pans etc. There is a charge made for self catering as follows:

Please be aware that as a caterer you are responsible for ensuring that the health of your customers is not harmed by the food that you serve. The venue’s management strongly recommend that you attend a Basic Food Hygiene course to ensure you are fully aware of safe methods of food preparation.

OPTION THREE - APPROVED CATERERS
The following are the only caterers approved and permitted by Rugby Borough Council to cater for functions at The Benn Hall. All approved caterers offer a wide variety of services and have vast experience in catering for all types of functions. Please contact the caterer direct for details of menus, prices and availability.
